SAL GULLACE

Sal Gullace is a lifelong Bayonne resident and dedicated advocate for the Second Ward who is running to return to the Bayonne City Council as part of Team Booker, led by Mayoral candidate Loyad Booker. Known for his strong commitment to neighborhood issues and constituent service, Sal is focused on bringing responsive, commonsense leadership back to City Hall.

Sal previously served the Second Ward after first being elected to the Bayonne City Council in 2014, and he was proudly reelected in 2018. In 2022, Sal made the difficult decision not to seek reelection after suffering serious leg injuries at his workplace with the Hudson County Improvement Authority. Through hard work, determination, and physical therapy, Sal has recovered and is ready to serve again.

Bayonne has seen major change in recent years, and Sal believes the city needs leaders who will act as a watchdog for residents—making sure new development benefits the people who already call Bayonne home. While he recognizes that early development helped stabilize the city financially, he believes the time has come to ensure future growth brings real, positive improvements across all neighborhoods, including older areas of Bayonne that deserve investment and attention.

Sal’s priorities include restoring pride in the community through cleaner streets, stronger neighborhood quality-of-life standards, and well-maintained public spaces. He is especially passionate about improving parks and creating safe, welcoming places for children and families.

Sal is running because he genuinely loves Bayonne and the people in it. With his health restored and his commitment stronger than ever, he is ready to get back to work—listening to residents, standing up for the Second Ward, and helping build a better future for the entire city.
